Barristers Grill has always been a favourite meeting spot in the Southern Suburbs and is one of the grand old restaurants of Cape Town. Situated in the heart of Newlands Village, the restaurant continues to provide warmth, friendship and good cheer.

Barristers was started in November 1980 by Peter Gordon and then in March 2008, Lance Chandler bought it and since then the dream has always been to create a Village pub where all the locals could meet and share their problems, have a laugh, have a cry or celebrate great occasions. Our mantra is good food - great wine - warm friends.

We are known for our mouth watering steaks as well as our Pub Lunch options. From Bangers & Mash to Battered Fish & chips - we have a wide range of dishes to choose from.
